Recommender agents and
diverse adaptive web-based systems are recently applied to provide customized
information for their users in a complex environment of web-based systems. This
alternating environment captures not only information needs of differentiated
users but also the various system platforms, which are used in many different
contexts. In such circumstances so-called classical information systems
tend to be very ineffective and there is a great need for applications of
adaptive technologies in general or recommender agents in particular. The aim
of the workshop is to bring together, for the second time, researchers
working on recommender agents and various web-based adaptive systems as well as
to discuss these issues and to present current research results. Topics of
submitted papers should focus on recommender agents and various adaptive
techniques concerning both theoretical and application aspects in the following
