The Department's research ranges
from the experimental to the
theoretical and is divided into five main groups of interest covering
databases theory and practice, multimedia information systems,
analysing and estimating information systems performance, information
network services and computerisation of library and information
processes.
We prepare students of "Information
Systems" specialization to
independent solving problems of projecting, organization and
exploitation computerized information systems which are working in each
information environment using latest information technology especially
hipertext and multimedia.
